Welcome to the 2012 Dominican Republic Mission Trip blog!  It is hard to believe we only have FIVE months until we arrive in the DR and hit the ground running.  For those of you who attended our orientation meeting, I want to say thank you!  So far, we have 25 people on our trip list. with several others still praying about it.  In the days ahead, be sure to keep an eye on this blogspot.  Upcoming meetings and information will be posted here.  Also, don't forget that Sunday morning February 19 is our missional life promotion.  In The Connection every 2012 FBC mission trip will have a table set up with information pertaining to each trip along with an opportunity to sign up with a team.  As you transition between BFG and worship, stop by our DR table to encourage others who may feel led to go with us.  If you have been to the DR before and have pictures you wouldn't mind sharing please email them to me (or drop them off in the church office).  In the meantime, keep John and Jane Huizinga in your prayers!  They are doing a fantastic work in the DR reaching people for Christ.  Pray for God to prepare the way for us by getting hearts and minds ready for what He wants to accomplish through us.  For now, keep being a light where you're planted!  Whether at home or abroad, God constantly offers us an invitation to join Him in His work.  Many blessings....Kenneth
